International election observers in Ukraine to hold press conference on Monday

The international observers monitoring the early presidential election in Ukraine will present their preliminary post-election statement at a news conference on Monday, 26 May, in Kyiv. The international observation mission is a common endeavor involving the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR), the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), the European Parliament (EP), and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA). The statement will be delivered by João Soares, the Special Co-ordinator appointed to lead the short-term OSCE observer mission, followed by Andreas Gross, Head of the PACE delegation, Illka Kanerva, Head of the OSCE PA delegation, Göran Färm, Head of the EP delegation, Karl Lamers, Head of the NATO PA delegation, and Tana de Zulueta, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR long-term election observation mission.    OSCE.  Read More
